How It Works
MarketGate software facilitates preparation, presentation, review and execution of programs.
Before EPPSSuppliers preload images and item data for the items they wish to present and retailers provide item forms and spread sheets they use in planning ECRM preschedules meetings according to buyer responsibility. An ECRM team leader reviews process and software with each participant individually. At EPPSSuppliers are provided their own private display room where the meetings take place. Retailers and suppliers are given scanners and ipads or tablet computers which may be used to select items of interest, take notes and email recaps to those responsible for follow up. After EPPSFollow up site may be used to review notes and items and finalize programs, send recap emails and download product images, item forms, spread sheets. Fred Heavilon of Crayola, Llc. said: "Over the past eight years I've attended many trade show events, presenting Crayola® and Silly Putty® products to customers across various channels. I'm happy to report that ECRM-run events consistently exceed my high expectations. Partnership with ECRM has been extremely advantageous to Crayola® business opportunities. Here is just a sampling of the vital support they provide. * Presenting new products to current and new customers * Securing customer commitments and/or follow-up meetings * Collecting customer feedback on products and services * Helping with sell through of closeout items * Management and scheduling appointments with valued potential clients * Ensuring easy set-up of presentation rooms or booths * Providing expert support and maintenance of website information. Perhaps what makes ECRM an outstanding leader in their field is a corporate culture that is guided by strong business values, including integrity, objectivity, partnership, innovation and high performance. Naturally, not all customers purchase new Crayola® products, but ECRM expertise gives Crayola® the best opportunity to achieve our greatest sales potential."
Mark Thorngren of Unilever said: "ECRM has provided our senior-level sales, marketing and category management executives with a forum to meet with a great group of retailers from all channels of trade in a category-focused format."
Hugh Scollins of Bassett Brands said: "You guys did it again. I thought with the economic conditions a lot of folks would stay home.Very good mix of chains, distributors and “Consultants”. Fab location and as usual great job by the ECRM team. Only problem is, your causing us a lot more work. All the follow up will result in new business and I will not be able to complain about how bad the economy is. Thanks again."
Bill Ladwig of Lewis Drug said: "EPPS events are very rewarding and time well spent. The return on investment is unimaginable...Many have tried to copy ECRM's techniques, but have not been successful."
Susan Scherer of Kroger said: “ECRM is a valuable asset to the new supplier and new item process for my business. The advantages to this format is time savings- the format allows me thoroughly review potential suppliers and potential new items in a fast, efficient manner. Distractions are kept to a minimum and I can walk away from a program with all the information needed to make sound decisions on new items or new suppliers. The software provided at the meetings is helpful as it allows me to quickly capture the items I am interested in.The advantage to a show is it allows me the ability to review a large number of suppliers in a fraction of the time it would take to interview them in this office.”
Stuart Hamilton of Vogue International Inc said: "By attending ECRM International EPPS, Vogue International was provided a conduit to expand our distribution throughout Europe and Asia, something that would have been difficult to replicate had we not participated. ECRM provides a great platform for manufacturers and retailers from around the globe to meet and build potential long term business partnerships, and as a result of our meeting(s) in Athens, I have already put the show into our budget for 2010."
Dennis Markley of Kerr Drug, Inc. said: "ECRM shows are the most efficient format of any buyer/vendor meetings available. A buyer can review more vendors, in a shorter time period, than any other format. I constantly tell vendors, no matter how many trade shows they attend, if they are not going to ECRM's, they are not spending their marketing funds wisely. If I were a vendor, I would definitely attend ECRM...I access the ECRM website weekly. The ability to see your past meeting notes, find item set up information, and vendor contact info is invaluable."
